This past weekend I was able to find some cherry printed fabric for my Lolita skirt. Sadly I bought 3 yards & my pattern called for 3.5. I'm going to layout the pattern & see if I can make it work. If not, I'll have to use another pattern. I still need to get some trim for the bottom hem and elastic for the waist (not in the mood to deal w/a zipper this time). I hope to get this skirt & matching cutsew done in the next 2-3 weeks.
After many weeks of interruptions, I'm finally going to get those door blockers started & finished. Everytime I'd plan to start, I'd either get scheduled to work a bunch of evening hours or get sick for 2 weeks. Ugh, I will get them done this week.
I'm excited because my nightgown pattern is going on sale this weekend. Simplicity is having a sale 5 for $5. Woo-hoo! I never pay full price for commercial patterns. There's no need since they go on sale so often. I also acquired a 10% off coupon for Joann's for this weekend. It works for sale & non-sale items. That makes me so happy! I'm going to get my pattern & some light white cotton for my nightgown. I'm really hoping to get something gauzy. I'll probably get the details later (flowers, bows, ribbons). I want to get started on this soon because the weather is starting to get very warm (blech!).
