Trials with knit

Last night I had to re-sew my collar + ruffle to my cutsew.  I realized that I need more practice with knit.  I my stitches weren't straight & it looks messy.  I'm going to buy some trim tonight to cover my bad crooked seams.  I think that will add some fanciness to it too.  Good thing I kept that last 50% off coupon.  Another problem is that the ruffle piece I cut was not long enough & doesn't "ruffle" enough (at least to my liking, my husband said it looked ok).  The neckline is bigger than I thought too even though I tried to make it smaller.  I think it's because the knit keeps stretching as I sew it.  It seems there is a lot I need to learn about sewing knit.  It will still be wearable however.  If I have time I may add some little bows to the neckline.  So that is wear I stand right now.  I will conquer you knit!
