More costume items

This past weekend I bought the 100% cotton webbed belting (I thought the nylon belting was icky) needed for the cage crinoline hoop & buttons for the bodice & overskirt.  I thought I was going to have to order the belting because the pattern called for 3/4" & I could only find 1".  As this doesn't seem to be a big deal, I have never made a cage crinoline & was afraid the smallest thing would create disaster.  I contacted Truly Victorian & they said that was ok, it is only for the waistband & it could be bigger as long as it supports the cage.  Whew!  Now I just need to find a sturdy buckle.  That may have to be ordered.
