Because nothing can ever be easy
Last night I was determined to get a good portion of my skirt done. I started to use my ruffler to make the bottom ruffle. This is the longest one on the skirt. The thread broke 2x & I broke 2 needles (because the ruffler fell off the ankle-I may have forgotten to lower the foot). If that didn't suck enough, those were the last needles I had. It was too late to get more so I was stuck not being able to do anything. I was so mad & I couldn't even do the small things that didn't require my sewing machine. Today my hubby is going to buy some more needles for me. He's such a great guy. Tonight is the beer/wine club meeting. I don't have to attend (I'm the secretary of the club) as my hubby can take over my duties. However, it's Valentine's Day & I'd like to spend that time w/him. Can I get my skirt done in 2 evenings (I work Thursday night & need it for this coming weekend)? It's a simple project made difficult by techinical difficulties & forgetfulness. I made list of what needs to be done in the order it needs to be done. Sometimes that helps me get things done more efficiently. I just check things off as I do them. I also don't forget to do certain things. Unless the hubby insists I stay home to work on my skirt, I will use Tues & Wed to finish it. Wish me luck!
