Pictures Finally
I finally have pictures of the finished piece. They aren't the greatest pics as they were taken in a rush. I also realized that I don't like how cotton sateen photographs. It looks really shiny. It doesn't look that shiny in person. Oh well. Here are some pics. I also had some major sock fail that night too. As it turned out my underskirt was so full, I had to take off my petticoat. With it, it was HUGE!!!! I didn't think that would work sitting at a dining table. I learned a ton from making this dress and my try again with my new knowledge & make it better. I'm only about 85% happy with this. That's how it is. Off to my next project!

I think this turned out really nice. I love the ruffle butt. I think black detail on the white bib may help pop the detail a bit, but that could be the photos as well. Keep up the awesome work!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks! It was indeed a challenge. I think with the knowledge I gained from it I could make it better if I tried to tackle this again. The white blouse looks quite bright I agree. I also think I cut that neckline too big. The bustle skirt was so full I ended up not wearing my petticoat. It was HUGE when I did wear it.
