Some updates & other projects

I have been doing some fabric searching & found all of my fabric for my Renaissance/Elizabethan style Halloween costume (I can't believe it!)  This is what I want for the body of the fabric:

I'm not sure if I prefer the diamond tucks or the pinches.  I felt doing texture instead of a solid or print would go better with this dress.  Feel free to give me your opinion.

Instead of buying bodice jewelry, I decided to make it myself.  I found the perfect pieces for it & have bought them already.  Best part is they won't cost me nearly as much as my original idea.  I plan to take pictures of these pieces tonight & have them posted tomorrow.  I also have some other pics to post as well.  I bought a headband from Claire's I will need to dress up.  I thought it had a good base.  I'll have to post a pic of that too.  My shoes will be my old faithful Renn shoes.  They are black flat suede shoes with embroidery on the top.  I'm toying with the idea of wearing my fancy fishnets from last year's costume.  I need to take a pic of my wig w/braid headband.  I also need to try it on to see how it looks best.  Perhaps that will be part of tomorrow's pictures.

Please send me opinions!  They really do help.

On other things, since I had such an easy time making a Loli blouse, I think I want to make another.  This time the fitting is already done & I'll work off my mock up pieces from my last blouse.  I need an off white blouse.  I should be set after that with blouses.  I still need to work on my IW replica.  Since I need to buy lace for the bodice & straps, I've been taking my time getting it done.  The mock for the bodice is half done.  The skirt is well on it's way to being done.  After that I will make the bolero.  I plan to wear this to my sister-in-law's wedding in October so I have some time.  I'm still searching for the correct lace.  Those 2 Loli things will probably be the last Loli projects until after Halloween.  I'm sure I'll get the itch to make something else after that.
