My skirt is almost done (& other projects).

The feverish weather finally broke enough to make working in my sewing room (attic) comfortable.  I only have to sew a hook & eye above the zipper, tack the side because it "pooches" a little bit & sew on the 1" black velvet trim above the flounce (it's already pinned on).  I will also make a flat bow with the left over velvet trim.  This will be added to the side of the skirt & will sit on the existing trim.  When it's complete I will post pics of it.  After this I will be doing some house projects.  I will recover my piano bench & make a cover for a window seat.  In regard to the window seat I was able to get 65% off on the foam.  I think foam is WAY overpriced so I was very happy to get such a good deal on it.  As for other future projects, I think I will start my Halloween costume in late August (my usual MO).  I have my pattern but no fabric yet.
