Halloween Costume "Done"

The quotes are because I just have a few little things to do.  Last night my costume fought me so hard but I came out victorious.  My gathering thread on my skirt broke 3 times & when I did get it to work & sewed my skirt on my bodice, I realized my skirt was off center of the bodice.  UGH!  That meant taking the skirt off, regathering it (with success) & sewing it back on.  What a pain in the backside.  Once everything was put together I sewed on the black trim on the skirt.  I sewed the trim on in scallops.  The skirt needed some sort of design on it.  I didn't over do the trims on this but I think it still looks really great.  To finish I have black teardrop beads I will sew on the bottom of the gathers on the bodice & want to add the same beads (granted I have enough) to the "up" parts of the scallops on the skirt & possibly add some snaps in certain places.  I plan to try on the costume & I hope it looks good.   Sorry no pics at this time, I've just been too busy to post any.  I promise to post some when I actually have it on.  I currently have it on my dress form & it doesn't look very flattering.  I'll likely post when I have the costume completely done & hair & makeup is done.  That reminds me, I have to make my headpiece.  I bought some faux hydrangeas that match the color of my dress perfectly.  They're also sort of a velvety fabric so they look better than regulary faux flowers.  And the best part, they were under a $1!  I think that's all for now.  Hopefully my next post will have pictures.
