My husband will be away at a church event tomorrow so that will give me all day & evening to get much sewing done. I will complete my Loli JSK & get much done on my Halloween costume.
To do for Loli JSK:
Iron lace trim
Sew on lace trim with velvet ribbon
Sew on trim to cover skirt ruffle seam
Sew white ruffle to bottom of hem of underskirt (to match length of JSK)
Make bow for back (if have enough leftover fabric dress)
Find backing for cameo to make a brooch for bodice
To do for costume:
Pattern: http://www.simplicity.com/p-6060-misses-steampunk-costume.aspx
Sew mock up coat pieces together & fit (do tonight - thank goodness I already have them cut)
With fitted pieces, cut fabric & begin assembling
Find lining fabric (I have to have something I can use)
Sew mock up bodice pieces fit (do tonight)
Find bodice fabric in stash (again, I have to have something I can use)
When fabric is found, start assembling
We'll see how far I do get on the costume tomorrow. The JSK will definitely get done tomorrow since there is only a little that needs to be done. I'm so happy my fabric is getting delivered today instead of next week. I was a little worried. This will definitely help with the little time I do have to work on projects.
All for now. I promise there will be pictures next time.
Edit: I just found this picture. This will be very similar to how mine will turn out. I think the hoop makes all the difference.
