Next Upcoming Project

My next project is a Lolita dress that I'm making for the upcoming Dickens Fezziwig Ball in November.  I'm hostessing a meet at this event & I've picked a Victorian inspired style dress to make.  I plan to make it in plum purple cotton sateen.  I have a bunch left over from a previous project.  The details on the dress will vary depending on how much I have left over.  I plan to get the body of the dress, sleeves & bottom ruffle done.  The gathered part on the skirt, extra ruffle & waist ties may have to be sacrificed.  However, this is TBD.  I may need to order some lace for the trim.  I'll look into that later.  Anyway, here is the inspiration dress.  I've made this before out of black velveteen.  It came out quite nice but it's a little big on me now.  Also, the skirt wasn't as full as I'd like.  I already have my mock up cut.  I just need to play around with the fullness.  I think it will be stunning in plum cotton sateen.
