Little costume update

Things are progressing pretty well for my costume.  I have my jewelry, mitts, shoes, circle lens contacts & fabric.  I've decided not to use hook & eye tape for the back.  Instead I will lace it up.  I have a million grommets & I no time for an order to arrive.  This will make me have to do one more fitting on my mock up since I had the back pieces overlapping.  Now they will have to meet in the middle.  No worries.  The next thing I need to do is make a headpiece.  I plan to buy a headband @ the Dollar Store & cover it with flowers & a bow.  I'm ticked another Michael's near me closed.  Their flowers are better than Joann's.  So now I have to go the farthest one away to get them.  For my headband I plant to use black electrical tape to attach the base of the flowers on & then cover the tape with black ribbon.  If any of you have a better idea, please let me know.  This is the first time I've attached something like this to a headband.  Wish me luck.  Tonight I hope to do the last fitting on my bodice & fix my skirt.  Silly me put the waistband opening on the bottom of the skirt.  OOPS!  At least it's an easy fix.  I'll attempt that tonight.  Wish me luck!
