So I have been terrible at making pin tucks. I could never get them right. So I've been avoiding them for a long time. Pity because they're so pretty & would look really nice on the things I make. I found this site & it gave really easy instructions. It also solved another problem I had while making tucks. How much fabric to I cut to accommodate them? This is difficult because I always have to alter patterns for proper fit. The site recommended that you put the tucks in your fabric first before placing the pattern on & cutting it out. It sounds easy but I never would have thought of doing that. Sometimes obvious answers just aren't obvious. Now I'm getting very excited to try these again. I have another Loli JSK replica I want to make & they will need tucks on the bodice. They're small ones so I can try out these technique & see how they turn out. I feel so elated that this might work this time! However, I need to get 2 other projects out of the way first. So stay tuned!
